WEEKLY TECH TIP- Each week I will begin including a “tech tip” in my weekly emails. This is purely so you can also receive firsthand the same tips we are communicating to all of our students. Please feel free to have a discussion with your child about these when you see them. I’d like to thank Mrs. Kathleen Smith, our Library-Media Specialist for putting these together and for communicating them to the kids. This week's tip is about email etiquette. A well composed email will go far! Click this link (or copy and paste it into the web address bar):

MATHCOUNTS- The next meeting of Mathcounts is Monday, September 25th. Any student interested in being involved, but who cannot attend the meeting, please see Mrs. Hanselman. There is a Google Classroom set up for Mathcounts so students may try the warm-ups and workouts that we do Monday afternoons. To join this Google Classroom please use code m6ejfm.

INTRAMURAL FOOTBALL- Intramural Ultimate Football will meet after school next Wednesday, September 27th. The session will end at 3:30. Interested students must remember to sign up for after-school activities, and on Mr. T's sheet, which will be in the office that morning. Only 30 students will be allowed to participate.

PRUDENTIAL SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY AWARD- The Prudential Spirit of Community Award is America’s largest youth recognition program based solely on volunteer service. It recognizes students who have made meaningful volunteering services to their communities.

Students who have participated in community service activities over the past year are invited to fill out an online application at spirit.prudential.com or nassp.org/spirit by November 7th. The application may then be submitted to Mr. Pomroy. The school’s top volunteer (if he/she has met a minimum number of volunteer hours) will become eligible to win $1,000 and an all-expense paid trip with a parent or guardian to Washington, D.C.

LIB-GUIDE- Our Library-Media Specialist, Mrs. Kathleen Smith has created a link on the LMS webpage that is very helpful to anyone who is doing research for any kind of project or just out of curiosity. Please feel free to check it out by clicking on library from the LMS web page. This link serves as a hub of all the links students need on one website and they are organized by school subjects.
