WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY- On March 21st I would like to encourage all to “Rock Your Socks” to support World Down Syndrome Day. Please see the pic below for more information.

PARENT / TEACHER CONFERENCES- Round two of our Parent / Teacher Conferences will be Thursday, March 22nd. This will be an early release day for students at 12:00, and will be followed by the first block of available conference time from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Teachers will also be available in the evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. as well. The format is the same as it has been. There is no need to schedule a visit with any teacher. If you come during either of the time slots, all teachers will be available either in the cafeteria or library. Feel free to come in, and simply stop by to meet with any teacher you would like to speak to. We have been very fortunate at LMS and have always had a very positive turn-out from parents who choose to take advantage of this opportunity. Please know we are very happy to provide it, and hope you find them to be informative and helpful. With that in mind we respectfully request that you keep your time with any teacher to no more than ten to twelve minutes or so. This is to insure ample time is provided to all parents wishing to see a teacher. In the event you feel it is necessary for any reason to speak at greater length with someone, please take advantage of your time with this person to schedule another time to further talk. Your cooperation is tremendously appreciated.

MARCH MADNESS STUDENTS VS STAFF BASKETBALL GAME- On Friday, March 23rd we will have our PTO sponsored students versus staff basketball game which is open to all of our eighth grade girls and boys who played on our LMS teams. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the game will begin at 6:30 p.m. The kids will be coached by Coach Andrew Schultheis who coached our girls team this winter. Coach Schultheis will be having a practice for all of our eighth grade basketball players on Wednesday after school until 3:45. This event serves as a fundraiser for our PTO, and the cost of admission is $5 payable at the door. This is always a really fun time for players and spectators alike, not to mention is a great opportunity to see who on our LMS staff still has some skills (and we do have some players I have to say!).

SPRING SOCCER REGISTRATION (LEDYARD TOWN TEAM)- There are only two weeks left for any player interested in participating on the Ledyard Soccer Club’s team. Registration ends on March 31st. Please visit the website for information and follow the link to register.
